Where to buy ACKS II
This module automates rules; it does not contain them. You need the books, and you need Foundry VTT to run it in. Both are bought from their publishers — nothing on this page is sold by, or earns anything for, this project.
Foundry Virtual Tabletop
Section titled “Foundry Virtual Tabletop”The tabletop this module runs in. One perpetual licence, bought once; only the Game Master needs one, and players join for free.
-
Foundry VTT
A perpetual software licence, $50 USD, including all future updates. Patreon supporters past and present are eligible for a discount on a single licence.
The ACKS II game system for Foundry
Section titled “The ACKS II game system for Foundry”Free, and separate from this module. It is the system that teaches Foundry what an ACKS character is; this module extends it. Install it first.
-
ACKS II system (
acks)Maintained by Autarch LLC. Free and open on GitHub, and installable from Foundry's own system browser by searching for ACKS.
The books
Section titled “The books”Published by Autarch LLC. The module draws on the Revised Rulebook and the Judges Journal; optional features additionally draw on the Monstrous Manual (monstrous henchmen, the Full Monster Sheet), the Treasure Tome (ring slots, named items) and By This Axe (dwarven cultures and castes).
Sold direct from the publisher’s store. Print runs sell through and restock, so a title showing as sold out is worth checking again — or reading as a PDF in the meantime.
-
ACKS II Revised Rulebook
The core book. Required — everything here assumes it.
-
ACKS II Judges Journal
The Judge's book. Required for hiring, markets, and several optional overlays.
-
ACKS II Monstrous Manual

-
ACKS II Treasure Tome

-
By This Axe
Optional. Dwarven society, cultures and castes — behind the optional caste modifiers in the influence roller.
-
ACKS II Judges Screen
Not needed by the module. Listed because it is part of the line.
-
DriveThruRPG
Autarch's full catalogue in PDF, including the ACKS II line and the earlier ACKS books.
-
Autarch
The publisher's own site, for news and Kickstarter campaigns.
Getting the tables into Foundry
Section titled “Getting the tables into Foundry”The module ships no book text — its sample tables are placeholders, and its compendium descriptions are authored restatements with page citations.
To use the real tables, the importer built into the module reads content from your own PDFs into the structures the rest of it owns — see Importing from your books. Everything works before you import; several features simply have more to work with once the tables are in.
Every feature here is free and none of it is gated. If it earns its keep at your table, you can chip in on Patreon.
