Compendia

The module ships 1 compendium pack holding 34 documents, and no library: an import from the Judge’s own books builds that in each world. Both are listed here, and both are found in Foundry’s Compendium Packs sidebar tab.

An import creates these in the world, each the first time a book fills it, and files them under ACKS II — Extras › From your books. A world holds only the ones its books fill.

Compendium Type What it is
ACKS Cookbook — Item Item What a character is, knows, wears, carries and casts, with the traps and trade goods of the world around them. Filed by kind rather than by book, and each class’s starting templates are filed beside them.
Shelves: Proficiencies · Class Powers · Drawbacks · Skills · Languages · Classes · Equipment · Weapons · Armor · Traps · Spells · Variations · Merchandise · Races
ACKS Cookbook — Actor Actor The creatures your books describe: a folder for each book and, inside it, a shelf for each kind of creature. Animals share one shelf across books. In a Judge’s set, an adventure’s people, keyed places and organisations as well.
ACKS Cookbook — JournalEntry JournalEntry A keyed adventure as journals, one for each section with a page for each location, and the rules tables that are not a single roll, kept where a Judge can check and override them.
ACKS Cookbook — RollTable RollTable The tables a Judge rolls on: the ones your books print, the rules tables that are a single roll, and a table of each class’s templates.
ACKS Cookbook — Judge — Adventure
ACKS Cookbook — — Judge — Adventure
Adventure A mapped settlement as one Adventure. Importing it puts back the map, its places and its organisations wherever a world is missing them, and changes nothing the world already holds.

Two kinds of book fill compendiums of the same types under a longer name:

  • A book whose own rows are the Judge’s, an adventure, a gazetteer or a supplement with a keyed place: ACKS Cookbook — Judge — Actor, and so on for each type. What such a book adds to the lists above, a class or a power, stays open: on the shelf above for a book of the ACKS library, on its series’ own shelf for a book of another series. No player seat can see these compendiums or open a document in them.
  • Another game’s book: ACKS Cookbook — <series> — Actor, named for the series it belongs to, or ACKS Cookbook — Your Books — Actor when it was registered with none. Where both apply the name carries both: ACKS Cookbook — <series> — Judge — Actor.
